PMT Software

The Profiler Maintenance Terminal (PMT) is a MS-DOS based program that allows on-site maintenance personnel to monitor profiler status, and examine and configure the radar's operating parameters. The program is small enough to run from a 3.5" floppy disk, or can be loaded onto a computer's hard disk.

There are two versions of PMT software currently in use, PMT version 5 is for profiler systems with the RASS option, and PMT version 4 is for systems that do not have RASS. Compressed ZIP files containing the required files for two versions of PMT software are available for download.

About 15 profiler sites still have the original PMT laptop computers onsite. These Zenith 8088 systems have two 3.5" 720 kb floppy drives and no harddrive. In order to use the PMT software on one of these systems, the PMT software will need to be installed on a compatible floppy disk medium (i.e. 3.5" 720 kb format). Also, if the floppy is to be used on one of the Zenith laptop computers, the floppy disk must be configured as DOS "bootable".
