Statistics Definitions
Network:
Hub:
The percentage of up time for 60 minute processing. This includes the Hub Computer System and the dedicated communication link to the National Weather Service (NWS) Gateway.
Data Availability to NWS:
The amount of hourly profiler data delivered to NWS Gateway.
Consensus Failure:
The percentage of range gates failing to pass time-height consensus averaging algorithms and flagged as being bad or missing data. Data are sampled from 500 meters above ground level to 16750 meters above ground level.
Maximum 6-minute communications:
The maximum percent of the 6-minute data that could have been received from a profiler site. This is one of the best indicators of 6-minute communication link uptime.
Profiler (Single Site):
Hub Data:
The percent of the time that a profiler sent wind data to the Hub.
Profiler Fault/Testing:
The percentage of time data was lost due to a profiler fault or site testing.
Communications Fault:
The percentage time data was lost data due to communications links failure.
NWS Availability:
The percent of time profiler data was sent to NWS Gateway.
Consensus Failure:
The percentage of range gates failing to pass time-height consensus averaging algorithms and flagged as being bad or missing data. Data are sampled from 500 meters above ground level to 16750 meters above ground level.
